Jakarta, June 13, 2022 - PT Danareksa (Persero) again held the Danareksa Mobile Talkshow (Darling) entitled Talking about Business and Investment Opportunities in 2022 as a continuation of the roadshow that was held earlier this year. Presenting Chief Economist from Danareksa Research Institute (DRI), Rima Prama Artha and Associate Director of PT Danareksa Investment Management, Bagus Setyawan, this activity was held in Yogyakarta and Semarang on June 9 and June 10, 2022. Darling activities in Semarang are also a collaboration. Danareksa with the Central Java Provincial Government as an effort to provide insight to the public about investing and capturing business opportunities.

PT Danareksa (Persero) Corporate Secretary, Putu Dewika said, "This activity is part of the Danareksa Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL) and the Created Share Value strategy carried out with our subsidiaries to improve financial literacy for millennials. This activity is a form of Danareksa's active commitment in supporting the government to improve millennial financial literacy according to the instructions of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). It is hoped that by understanding literacy regarding financial management, participants can manage their funds more strategically and choose trusted investment instruments. In the future, we hope to continue the Danareksa Mobile program in other cities on a larger scale.”

It should be noted, as the COVID-19 cases subside, the Indonesian economy is now gradually recovering. As of April 2022, the domestic Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew 5.01% (year-on-year/YoY) and foreign ownership in Government Securities (SBN) decreased to 16.56% remaining. This is in line with the government's efforts to deepen the domestic financial market by increasing the value of domestic investment. Therefore, Darling is present as a program that supports financial management literacy in the community to support the government's efforts.

This activity which targets millennial students and State Civil Apparatus (ASN) aims to add insight into global and domestic economic conditions as well as wise investment tips so that the millennial generation can be wiser and strategic in investing.

In collaboration with IMAGAMA (Gadjah Mada Accounting Student Association), Darling's activities in Yogyakarta took place on Thursday, June 9, 2022 with the participants attending were students from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and other campuses. Meanwhile, Darling's activities in Semarang took place on Friday, June 10, 2022, which was attended by millennial State Civil Apparatus (ASN) from various levels. It is hoped that the participants will not only be able to increase their knowledge about investment, but also gain insight into global and domestic economic conditions as a reference in investing.

"With the talk show concept, it is hoped that millennials will more easily digest research material, so that they can help millennials plan short-term and long-term investments. "In the midst of rampant digital investment fraud among the younger generation, financial literacy education is very important so that millennials only invest in trusted investment products, one of which is through mutual fund products from PT Danareksa Investment Management," said Dewika.

In the event, the Chief Economist of the Danareksa Research Institute, Rima Prama Artha explained the results of DRI's research on current global and domestic economic conditions. Followed by the presentation of investment tips by the Associate Director of PT Danareksa Investment Management, Bagus Setyawan.

During his presentation, Rima said, "The number of millennial investors continues to grow from year to year. Seeing the relatively high economic growth (GDP), the current account is still positive, and foreign ownership in SBN is decreasing, the investment climate in Indonesia is getting better after pandemic. But you still have to be careful and choose a trusted investment instrument."

Darling's activities in Yogyakarta took place at Sinergi Co Working & Space, Yogyakarta, while in Semarang, the event was held at the Grandhika Hall, Central Java Governor's Office, Semarang, Central Java. Previously, PT Danareksa had held Darling activities in Jakarta and Bandung targeting millennials and Micro and Small Business (MSME) players with the concept of 'Roadshow Truck'.
