In commemoration of Kartini Day which falls on April 21, Danareksa Research Institute (DRI) through Dri`s Pulse Check released a special edition with the title "Women and Economy". In this edition, DRI discussed the role of women who increasingly played an important role in the economy and economic recovery with increasing level of work participation. In fact, gender inequality in Indonesia is getting smaller, which can be seen in the value of IPG (91.07) and IDG (75.24) in 2019 which continues to increase. The indicator is used to measure the active role of women in economics and politics. In addition, women also have a large role in Indonesian MSMEs where based on data from BPS, 64.5% MSMEs in Indonesia are managed by women. Women`s access to the financial services sector including fintech continues to increase as seen from female investors in the ORIO17 and ORIO18 markets, which reached 55.87% and 57.82%. The financial sector, the real sector (plantation), and consumer sentiment that improved slightly to the level of 74.90 (March 2021) amidst the extension of the PPKM.Simak was also an interview with the Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, Destry Damayanti regarding the role of women in economic recovery.
