Research

Danareksa Research Institute (DRI) again presented Dri’s Pulse Check October 2020 edition with the title "Adaptation to Rise" which focuses on efforts of business actors to survive and adapt during Pandemi Covid-19. The survey conducted by BPS of business actors from various sectors found that 27% of business actors had begun to maximize the use of the internet and IT for marketing, while 15% diversified their business, and 5% switched to different sectors. DRI also stated that credit growth slowed down in August 2020 because: 1) Weak new credit demand, 2) Increasing the principle of caution of banks that are in line with increased credit risk. Meanwhile, the issuance of corporate bonds increased sharply in the 3-2020 quarter although it was still limited to high grade corporation. However, in the midst of weakening economic growth, the consumer sector is expected to survive and grow 9.8% higher than other sectors. This is in line with the existence of government assistance of Rp. 204T which has been realized by more than 60% until September 2020. In addition, this time Dri also discussed the preparation of the Law Omnibus Law which had an impact on almost all sectors, especially to increase employment and MSME development. Also consider DRI`s discussions with CFO Club from various sectors, such as automotive, chemical, energy, business services and insurance regarding the impact of Pandemi Covid-19 on various fields of business in Indonesia.
