The Government of Indonesia just held sovereign bonds or Surat Utang Negara (SUN) auction on 18 February 2020 that consists of series SPN03200519 (new issuance), SPN12210205 (reopening), FR0081 (reopening), FR0082 (reopening), FR0080 (reopening), FR0083 (reopening), and FR0076 (reopening). The total incoming bid reached IDR 127.1 trillion, the highest level in history. While the previous SUN auction recorded the total incoming bid of IDR 96.9 trillion. Meanwhile, the total bid won from the auction is IDR 18.5 trillion, lower than the previous SUN auction, which is IDR 21 trillion. FR0081 received the highest incoming bid, which is IDR 37.2 trillion. (Ministry of Finance) China will start accepting applications for tariff waivers on a wide range of American commodities as it seeks to show commitment to keeping its side of the trade deal with the Trump administration. China’s Ministry of Finance on Tuesday published a list of 696 American products including soybeans, pork, beef, corn, wheat, crude oil and liquefied natural gas that will be eligible for relief from the retaliatory duties imposed by Beijing in its tit-for-tat trade war with Washington. It’s an initial step by China in meeting its pledge to buy $200 billion of additional goods and services from the U.S. over the next two years as part of the phase one trade deal reached in January, including $95 billion worth of U.S. commodities.
