BI: loan grew 12.0% YoY; deposits growth stood at 5.8% YoY end Feb-19

Central Bank (BI) recorded loan growth of 12.0% YoY end Feb-19. Working capital remained flat at 12.9% YoY, while investment loan accelerated to 13.4% YoY, while consumption loan slumped to 9.5%, end Feb-18. Total deposits growth accelerated to 5.8% YoY end Feb-18, driven by time deposits. (Bank Indonesia)

MRT Jakarta fare discounted for a month

E-commerce tax regulation cancelled

Government decided to cancel the implementation of e-commerce tax regulation (PMK 210/PMK.010/2018), which was initially planned to be implemented on 1-Apr-19. Note that even without this regulation, e-commerce players are still taxed using the normal taxation regulation, but one difference from the regulation is the obligation to provide more thorough transaction data to the government. ESDM Minister Ignatius Jonan inaugurated 2 gas infrastructure project in South Sumatra

ESDM Minister Ignatius Jonan inaugurated Grissik-PUSRI (GrisPus) transmission pipeline (176km; 20-inch diameter) and Palembang gas network. GrisPus pipeline, sourced from ConocoPhillips (Grissik) Gas Plant will be used for PUSRI’s gas needs, future power plant and Tanjung Api-Api KEK and household gas network in South Sumatra. (Kontan)
