Total Incoming Bids for Tuesday’s SBSN Reached IDR 38.8 Trillion

The government has conducted an auction for Government Sukuk (SBSN) on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, for series SPNS24122020 (new issuance), PBS002 (reopening), PBS026 (reopening), PBS023 (reopening), PBS022 (reopening) and PBS005 (reopening). Total incoming bids are IDR 38.8 trillion, exceeding the incoming bid in the previous SBSN auction on 9 June 2020 of IDR 28.6 trillion. Compared to other series, PBS002, which will mature on 15 January 2022, received the highest incoming bids of IDR17.3 trillion with awarded amount of IDR4.2 trillion. The total amount awarded from the six series offered is IDR9.5 trillion, the same amount as the previous SBSN auction. U.S. business activity shrank in June at the slowest pace in four months, indicating further improvement for the economy as it attempts to break out of a steep recession. The IHS Markit preliminary composite index of purchasing managers at manufacturers and service providers rose 9.8 points to a pre-pandemic high of 46.8 after a 10-point upturn in May, the company reported Tuesday.
